The story so far
What started with honeybee tonics brewed in a utility room on the Isle of Man has grown into two Roots cafes, a community of thousands, and a mission to help other people build things they're proud of.
Jamie Blair runs Roots in the City and Roots by the Sea, mentors first-time café founders to open profitably in 90 days, leads barista workshops, and hosts the Offline Club.
What Jamie does
Hands-on sessions at Roots by the Sea in Peel. Learn latte art, espresso technique, and the craft behind a really great cup. Beginner-friendly, locally-run, and genuinely fun.
Helping first-time café founders open profitably in 90 days. From concept and menu to operations and opening week — Jamie shares everything he's learned building Roots from scratch.
A space for entrepreneurs and people building things to plan, nourish, and reflect — away from the screens. No phones, no notifications. Real conversations and good coffee.
Barista Workshops

Café Consultancy
Jamie has built Roots from a single seaside spot into multiple locations across the Isle of Man. He's made the mistakes so you don't have to.
Working with first-time café founders, he'll take you from idea to open doors — covering concept, menu, equipment, suppliers, staffing, and launch — profitably, in 90 days.

The craft
At Roots, we serve our own signature blend roasted locally on the Isle of Man by Noa Bakehouse. Rich, smooth, and brewed with intent.
Our barista workshops teach you to do the same.

No screens. No notifications. Just good people, great coffee, and the kind of conversations that move things forward.
Every session is held at Roots. Everyone building something is welcome.
Drop your email and we'll let you know when the next session is on. Free. Coffee included. Phones not welcome.
